Every fall, MHA partners with the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) to provide hospital chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief operating officers, directors of nursing, risk officers and business management staff with the tools they need to ensure the financial well-being of their organizations. This year’s conference was held on October 9-10 at the Crowne Plaza Minneapolis West, and was themed “Preparing for the Transformation of Health Care Finance.”
This conference was packed with valuable sessions that addressed evolving strategies as we continue to transition from volume to value-based healthcare, OnTrack to Health, along with CentraCare Health System, shared one strategy for activating heart failure patients through the use of OnTrack in a session titled “Are Your Patients On Track to a Better Experience?”. The session was well-received with great audience participation and questions following the presentation went into overtime.
The session provided practical insights on clinical workflows and challenges in implementing a disruptive innovation. It also included a discussion on the financial impact of a patient-centric population health strategy using data from a 20-month pilot conducted at CentraCare.
